The twentieth Annual Quad City Prayer Breakfast was Saturday, unhealthy October 27, at the River Center and Dr. Robert Schuller, Jr. wasChurch-Image-Prayer-Hands_list_160x120 the main speaker. He and I have similar stories. He felt called into the ministry at the age of 5, as did I. He has a reading disability, as do I. And as He said, God had it planned out all along. His key phrase was: “If you’ve got the faith; God’s got the power.”

Pastor Schuller spoke of his father, Robert Schuller in a kind and positive way. While his dad is in a nursing home in California, he is happy! He still recognizes his family, however, he thinks he is beach side in a different place. Also, the oldest Pearl Harbor was unable to be there because of a heart attack, a bit disappointing but we wish him well. Marshall Hall, the head of the music ministry at Willow Creek led the music portion of the morning. He was amazing. A gifted recording artist and once a member of the Gaither Vocal Band.

If you ever get a chance to attend, I encourage you to do so.

Pastor Mark
