For me one of the most powerful moments of the LCMC Gathering is their opening and closing worship. We had very good speakers this year as we focused on our DNA as individuals, shop congregations, and association. One of the things that tickled me the most was the presiding pastor wearing a camo stole (look closely). I always wanted one when I was a pastor in northern Minnesota.
In particular, about the service I have always been greatly moved by the praying of laity over pastors. I cannot remember a time that I haven’t cried. It is such a humbling experience. And then the pastors then get to lay hands on the laity that they might be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Following worship we went to the mall where Pastor Tim was caught acting like a Texas cowboy. Click more if you want to see Pastor Tim in action. As they say, “Life is like a merry-go-round.”
We are on our way home with a bit of a wait for our flight and we should land in Moline at 10:16 p.m. “See Ya’ all very soon.” Thank you for allowing us to represent you at the 2015 Gathering, in Texas.
