Greetings from Eastern Kentucky!!!
Well we all made it safe and sound to Grayson, pharm Ky. As a mission team we have a total of 16 people who are on this trip. The trip down took about 8.5 hours and the car ride was a blast coming down. When we got into Kentucky I was blown away by its beauty. When we arrived we met up with AdventureServe and got to know the staff that we will be working with Haus and AT are the nicknames that they go by, there and they truly have a heart for God and serving others. We looked at what we are going to be doing for the week and expectations that come along with that. There are two different worksites that the group will be going to, look and they will be working on dry wall, clean up. All of the youth are broken down into 4 teams and those groups will help prepare, cook and clean during the week. This is a great opportunity for them to serve alongside of each other and to serve the other group members.
I am truly excited about what God is going to do here in the lives of the youth, but also in the lives of all of the chaperones as well. I have already began to see God at work in their excitement to wanting to serve God, but also to serve others. I ask that you continue to keep all of us in your prayers. I will continue to blog about what is happening on the mission trip!! God bless each and every one of you.
In Christ, Pastor Tim
