The Literacy Connection (TLC) is a 1-on-1 tutoring program for first and second grade students from Washington Elementary School in Moline that are referred to TLC as being at-risk in literacy development by their teachers at Washington. It is an after school program that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year.

TLC also conducts a summer reading program at the Moline Housing Authority’s Springbrook Courts community rooms for five Tuesdays and Thursdays after the end of the school year. The summer program is open to all children going into the first through fourth grades referred to TLC by their teachers.
