Was It Just a Coincidence? Or Was It God?

Was it a message from God?

Was it a message from God?

On Sunday, I did a dove release for a 90 year old pigeon flyer in Galesburg, IL. He flew pigeons for over 70 years. I met him about 3 years ago, when he took me into his home and showed me all his trophies and records. I asked him, what advice would you give to a new pigeon flyer? He had one word, “patience.” Today I intended on releasing two doves, one representing his wife who died a number of years ago and one representing him — Two Doves, Two Loves. I gave each grandson a dove. They had handled them before. And as I often say, I reminded people that they are not on remote control and so I do not know what they will do. With tears in their eyes, they tossed the two birds in the air.  One headed for the skies, and the other flew under the tent and landed on the coffin. The bird sat there for about 5 seconds. Was it just an accident? Or was it God sent? In seven years, I never had that happen before.

Christians Standing with Israel

Last night we had a good turn out and great evening with Rabbi Grimm. She was very personable and informative. We learnedthat there are about 2000 Jews in the Quad Cities. And Gary Forret too, found out that not all Rabbi’s sport a beard. Rabbi Grimm shared with us that their Bible is their history and that God does not act the same way as He did back then, whether through wrath or miricles. We went directly to the Bible, Genesis 15, Ezekial 36, and other passages where God has clearly has promised the land to Israel. And the land He speaks of is much larger than Israel is today.

Lost, But Now Found On the Web

LCMC logo2[1]

We were once lost, but now we are found on the web! Today, we had a young couple come to worship who found us on the web. They were looking for an LCMC church and visited our website before coming, as many people now do. As I visited with these guests I found out that they are connected with the LCMC church in Quincy, IL. I shared with them that I installed Pastor Mikelson several years ago. This LCMC church is in the process of buying a building. We too learned that we have a few other things in common as well. Most of all I wanted to let you know that our website is making a difference!
